Corwin, 62, formerly of Moline, retired professor from the Department of VeteriMicrobiology, University of Missouri, Columbia, died Feb. 9, 2001, at home in Hallsville, Mo. Services are 11 a.m.

Monday at Fenton Funeral Chapel, Centralia, Mo. Burial is in Centralia Cemetery, Centralia, Mo. Visitation is 7-9 p.m. Sunday. He was born Aug.

8, 1938, in Moline, to Marvin and Alice Bossuyt Corwin. He married Barbara Stitt Nov. 8, 1988, in Hallsville. Surviving are his wife; children, William, Centralia, Thomas, St. Louis, Charles and Margaret, both at home; two grandchildren; his mother, Alice Corwin, Moline; and brothers, Gary Corwin, Camarillo, and Mike Corwin, Pasadena, Calif.

His father preceded him in death. Leo Waters Services for Leo F. Waters, 84, Moline, are 7 p.m. Monday at Knox-Larson Funeral Home, Rock Island. Burial of his ashes will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island.

Visitation is 4 p.m. to service time. Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. Mr. Waters died Thursday, Feb.

8, 2001, at Iowa Masonic Nursing Home, Bettendorf. Leo Frederick Waters was born Jan. 24, 1917, in Ottumwa, Iowa, to Frederick Evan and Julia Lerch Waters. He married Dorothy Wells Aug. 29, 1941.

She preceded him in death Feb. 4, 1976. He married Marie Morrow Oct. 16, 1976. He co-founded Semate-Waters Construction Company in 1949 which became Waters Construction company in 1953, a company which continued to operate until his retirement in 1986.

His son, Bill Waters, became a partner in the company in 1967. Waters Construction Company built many well known local buildings, a few of which include the Augustana College dorms and student union, St. Pius Church, Rock Island, Woodrow Wilson Junior High School, Moline, Pleasant Valley Township High School, the River Center, Davenport, and the Tri City Jewish Center. An avid golfer, Leo Waters became a member of Short Hills country club in 1955 and served on the board of directors. He also served as president in 1964.

In addition, he was a member and shareholder in the Royal Palm Country Club in Naples, Fla. Also an avid pilot, he was a member of the Quiet Birdmen flying organization in the Quad-Cities. He was active in the South Park Presbyterian Church for many years, and a more recent member of the Unity Church in Naples, Fla. He was a member of various civic groups including the Optimist Club. Survivors include his wife, Marie Waters, Moline; his son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Judy Waters, Chandler, his daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Nick Pitz, Bettendorf; his grandchildren, Stephanie Byland, Jeff Waters, Julie Martinez, Megan Pitz and Andrew Pitz; great- grandchildren, Katie, Drew and Jeffrey Byland; stepdaughter and her husband, Connie and Tony Yuknis, Silvis; stepsons, Ken Schneck, Moline, John and his wife, Sharm Schneck, Coal Valley; four stepgrandchildren; his aunt, Marie Lerch, Moline; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Jane Waters, Bowie, and Charles and Rita Waters, Sun Lake, a sister and brother-in-law, Beverly Donald Hartwig, Rock Island; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, David Waters, and his sister, Marilyn Lange. He will be missed for his generosity and for his many quiet acts of kindness to his employees, needy community members and his family. Robert 'Rob' Inskeep Robert "Rob" Inskeep, 46, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001, in Sarasota, Fla. Services are 2 p.m.

Monday at South Gate Community Center, Sarasota. He was born and raised in Moline to Darryl and Mary Inskeep. He married Teresa Gunnerson in 1975. Survivors include his wife, Teresa; daughter, Jennifer Inskeep, a son, Ryan Inskeep, both of Sarasota; his mother and father, Darryl and Mary Inskeep, Moline; a sister, Julie Inskeep, and brothers, Rick, Ron and Randy Inskeep, all of Moline. Shirley Malmen Shirley Malmen, 76, Orion, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline. Arrangements are pending at Kirk, Huggins and Esterdahl Funeral Home, Orion. Rock Island Eva Nixon Services for Eva G. Nixon, 85, of 956 23rd Rock Island, are 1:30 p.m.

She died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001, at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island. She was born Jan. 6, 1916, in Brownsville, the daughter of John and Roxie Nixon. She was employed as a nurse at Illinois State Hospital, retiring in 1981 after 25 years.

Prior to this she was a sales clerk at Peterson's, Davenport. She was a member of Olivet Baptist Church, past treasurer, deaconess, cook and visited the sick and shut-ins. She was a member of Martn Luther King Center Senior Group, Meals On Wheels and loved gardening, cooking and taking care of others. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Virgie McGhee, Rock Island, and Mercel William Burton, Rock Island; grandchildren, Ronald, Glenn, Peggy, Denise, Gregory, Mike, Casandra, Tyrone, Debbie, Tammy, Paula, John, Vickie, Stacey and Garvin; 31 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Caldwell; and brothers, Lee, Harper and Dan Nixon.

East Moline Phyllis Lain Phyllis D. Lain, 70, East Moline, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, at Il- lini Hospital, Silvis. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Vandemore Funeral Home, Atkinson.

Memorials may made to the American Heart Association. Phyllis was born May 24, 1930, in Geneseo, the daughter of Elon and Opal Henson Swanson. She married Wilmer "Zeke" Lain Feb. 26, 1949, in Geneseo. She had been employed at the Deck Restaurant in Geneseo for many years as a waitress.

She and her husband Zeke were founders of Riverside Acres, where their cabin on the Rock River was located and where they camped for 35 years. She also enjoyed crocheting, bingo and traveling. Bernice was born Oct. 28, 1913, in Moline, to George and Jenny Swanson Gibbs. She married (John) Clifford Brenstrom Oct. 4, 1935. They had no children.

Anderson Jan. 25, 1941, in Davenport. He farmed in the Preemption area until 1977. He was a member of the Preemption United Methodist Church and Viola Senior Citizens. Survivors include his wife, Hilda Clauson, Viola; sisters, Dora Anderson, Viola, and Frances Harris, Aledo; and a brother, Herbert Clauson, Viola.

John 'Jack' Komp John H. "Jack" Komp, 93, Kewanee, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, at Kewanee Hospital. Services are 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Schueneman-Tumbleson, Kewanee, preceded by a Masonic service at 1:15 p.m.

Memorials to First United Methodist Church or a favorite charity. He was May 29, 1907, in Kewanee, to William and Molly Komp. He married Edith Reilly May 16, 1937, in Buda, Ill. She died in November 1975. He retired after many years with the Kewanee Boiler where he had been an accountant.

He had been in the Merchant Marines during WWII. Surviving are a daughter, Jeanne Nelson, Iowa City; grandchildren, Erika Nelson, Boston, Sven Nelson, Iowa City; and a special friend, Janice Carlson, Kewanee. Margaret 'Peggy' Molko Margaret E. "Peggy" Molko, 76, Geneseo, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, at Good Samaritan Village, Geneseo.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Evangelical Church, Edford Township, rural Geneseo. The Rev.

The former Margaret E. Carson was born Feb. 12, 1924, in Denver, the daughter of Robert and Irene Carson. She married Donald Molko Aug. 24, 1953, in Denver.

He died May 5, 2000. In early years, Mrs. Molko had worked at International Harvester Farmall in East Moline. She was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Church, Edford Township and a former member of the Geneseo Senior Citizens and the Birthday Club of Edford Township.

Mrs. Molko enjoyed sewing, horses and her basset hound, Strawberry. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Diana Weber, and grandchildren, Christina and Eric Weber, all of Alexandria, a sister, Roberta Swenson, Denver, and special friends, Darrell and Bonnie Weimer, Geneseo. She was a member of the Davenport Moose Club, St. Paul the Apostle Church and the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Paul's. Her hobbies and interests included traveling, books and reading. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed her flower garden, especially tending to her roses.
